RD Estimates Disclaimer
RD calculations are estimates based on the deposit amount, interest rate, tenure and contribution assumptions you provide. Actual maturity values may differ based on the financial institution's calculation method, compounding rules, installment dates, day-count conventions, taxes, TDS, premature withdrawal rules and product terms.
• This calculator assumes monthly contributions are made at the end of each month and uses a generic quarterly-compounding estimate.
• Partial quarters are handled with fractional compounding periods for a transparent estimate.
How a recurring deposit grows
Enter the monthly deposit, annual rate and duration to estimate total deposits, maturity value and interest. Review the schedule to see how regular contributions accumulate.
Calculation method
Each monthly contribution earns interest for its remaining time in the deposit. The calculator combines these contributions using its compounding assumptions to estimate maturity.
Example
Depositing ₹5,000 each month for 12 months contributes ₹60,000 in total. The interest earned depends on the rate and how long each instalment remains invested.
Assumptions and limitations
Actual maturity can vary with deposit dates, bank compounding rules, missed payments, taxes and early closure charges. Confirm the bank’s quoted maturity before investing.
